I was able to get a can of corned beef and had intended to take it out and fry it woth some eggs but the can didn't want to cooperate. So I made hash. I took 4 potatoes, an onion a quarter of a head of cabbage and a quarter of a turnip. I boiled up the potatoes, and turnip then fried up the corned beef and onions. When the vegetables were done, I added them in and mashed all together. A hearty meal but salty so take care if on a low sodium diet
My version of this dish, I omitted the shrimp paste but I added Nikki masala, an Indian chutney, some Hot Salsa, some vegetables soy sauce and 2 fried eggs, as well as a bit of coconut milk
So i was able to combine a can of beans in tomato sauce to a pack of Uncle Ben's Chinese 5 Spice rice and it's filling. Just open can, open pouch, microwave and you have a nutritional rich meal. And the spices give it a nice snap.
